I woke up this morning feeling tired, with my eyes heavy crying for more sleep, but I have to go to work. Still feeling tired, I said Thank God is Friday!! This sounds as the tonic I need.
This has been a regular saying among us. I have friends that always look towards Friday. A puzzle is been raised in my mind that I cannot find the full answer to.
The puzzle is this: “We all look toward Friday, it signifies the beginning of weekend; so we can relax, reflect, rest and spent quality time with our loved ones. Rather than achieving this purpose, it seems to be the busiest days of the week. Imagine the parties (marriage, birthday, etc) we attend on Saturdays, this takes a lot of our “man-hour”, classes to attend (those that go to professional class), house cleaning and at the end we are fagged out thinking we will make up with Sunday. On Sunday, we rushed to church to attend classes, workers’ meetings, and early morning services. After church, only to be thinking of preparing for the week ahead; what to wear and ironing, visit salon (have a nice hair cut, do million braids, hair retouch, nail polish, pedicure, manicure, chat …).. “am not against this because you must to look tight and good”… and preparing ready-made stew (by the bros’ and sis) for the week ahead.By the time all this is over, Sunday is gone. Do we really enjoy the weekend???”
Am a culprit also, but I think we should try at least to relax in any of those 2 days.
This is the puzzle that I ponder on. Share your own view!!!!!!!
Have a great weekend and blessed week.
We all have a choice…Do you really have to do all those things at the weekend?
If it is not done will it be the end of the world? these are the questions that should be asked.
I am a culprit to of over loading the weekend and then smarched out on sunday nite… until i decided to choose…and I have chosen to somethings have a messy house( just not open the door to any vistors that day ) so we could all lay in on a saturday, have a late breakfast watch moives and just generally chill..

Friday, Saturday, Sunday…why are they days we look forward to….well for one we get to do something different even if it going for a cousins wedding or grand mum’s birthday. It is different from the monotony of work. We get to see people we love (umm..questionable) not people we have to see-customers, clients, bosses. For those who attend lectures…well this too shall pass. But not the less…we’ll continue to look forward to our weekend cuz at least we do not have to wake up by 5am.

@ refinedone and 4mytyme, i know we shall always look towards weekends because of the change we have from the monotonous lifestyle of 5am – 8pm.
They are great days by the way!!!
Much fun all through.
